PROJECT

Oak Staircase Installation – Trewen

This project involved removing the existing staircase and installing a new, bespoke oak staircase, expertly manufactured by Clifford’s Joinery.
Working alongside Clifford’s Joinery, we undertook the removal of the original staircase and the installation of the new oak structure, including the treads, risers, newel posts, handrails and matching timber balustrading.
Particular attention was given to accurate fitting, alignment and finishing to ensure the new staircase complemented the property’s existing character.
The finished result is a beautifully crafted staircase that brings warmth, quality and a fresh look to the interior.

PROJECT

Exterior Woodwork Restoration – St Mellion

This project in St Mellion involved the restoration and refurbishment of an extensive external timber-framed glazed frontage.
The work included removing and replacing defective Iroko timber window beads, thoroughly sanding back the existing timberwork and applying a fresh stain to restore its appearance and provide a consistent finish.
We also installed new external wall lighting and fitted a new oak lintel above one of the windows, combining practical improvements with carefully considered detailing.
The completed project has revitalised the property’s exterior, bringing renewed life to the timberwork while retaining the character of the original building.

PROJECT

Kitchen Re-skim & Aluminium Bi-Fold Door Installation – Plympton

This project involved transforming an existing kitchen opening to accommodate a new set of aluminium bifold doors, creating a much larger connection between the interior living space and the garden.
The work began with the removal of the existing section of brickwork to form the enlarged opening, ready for the installation of the new bifold door system.
Following installation, we carried out the associated internal making-good, including plaster repairs around the new frame. The project also included skimming the entire kitchen to provide a fresh, smooth finish ready for decoration.
The completed installation brings additional natural light into the room and creates a more open, practical living space.

PROJECT

Internal Wall Insulating & Restoration – Launceston

This project involved upgrading the external walls of a living room using an insulated internal wall lining system, providing a cost-effective alternative to a traditional lime-based approach.
The existing walls were prepared before installing treated timber battens, incorporating a DPC separation layer behind the framework. Insulation was then fitted between the battens, followed by the installation of the specified green wall lining system and preparation for plastering.
Particular care was taken around the existing windows, decorative ceiling mouldings and original architectural features.
The final stage involved plastering to provide a smooth, clean surface ready for decoration.
The approach provided an opportunity to improve the thermal performance of the room while retaining its existing character and decorative features.
