A GOOD FINISH STARTS WITH GOOD PREPARATION

Measured carefully.
Fitted properly.

Setting out, checking existing levels and taking time over the preparation makes a difference to the finished result. We pay attention to the practical details as well as the appearance, helping the work sit neatly within the wider building project.

For larger projects, carpentry can be coordinated alongside associated building, plastering and finishing work to help keep the job moving.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Planning some
carpentry work?

What is the difference between first fix and second fix carpentry?

First fix generally covers the timber work carried out before plastering and finishing, such as stud partitions, joists and structural framing. Second fix covers the visible elements fitted later, such as doors, skirting, architraves and ironmongery.

Can you fit internal doors and door linings?

Yes. We undertake internal door and lining work, including associated adjustments and finishing details. The existing openings and condition of the frames will help determine the work required.

Can you include carpentry as part of a larger renovation?

Yes. Carpentry can be undertaken alongside other building and finishing work, helping coordinate the different stages of a renovation or property improvement.
